Hyderabad, December 07: Three persons, including a businessman, committed suicide for different reasons. In Jawaharnagar police limits, a 35-year-old businessman, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling on Saturday night. The deceased, G Ramesh of Damaiguda, had reportedly invested Rs 25 lakh in a private engineering college. However, due to the delay in clearance of fee reimbursement dues by the State Government, the college management was unable to return his investment. This pushed Ramesh into severe financial crisis and the same is suspected to have driven him to suicide. In another case, 80-year-old S Lalitha committed suicide by setting herself ablaze. According to Market police, Lalitha took the extreme step at her residence in Maruthi Lane of Secunderabad on Saturday evening. She was immediately rushed to Gandhi Hospital where she was declared brought dead. Ill-health is suspected to have driven her to the extreme step. In a different case, 17-year-old Vinod Rai committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Panduranga Nagar in Attapur on Saturday night. According to Rajendra Nagar police, Vinod was reportedly mentally unsound and had attempted suicide twice in the past.
