Hyderabad, January 16:

A woman who set herself ablaze on January 13 died yesterday while her husband sustained severe burn injuries in vain attempt to save her life. The incident occurred under Pahadi Shareef police station limits where 24-year-old Mamta died in severely burned state. She was undergoing treatment.

Mamta is said to have set herself ablaze on January 13 by pouring kerosene over her body. Seeing her wife burning her husband Ganesh tried to save her. During the attempt he also sustained serious burn injuries. Both were rushed to the hospital where Mamta died while undergoing treatment while her husband is said to be severely burned
